Unseen, tree roots bind

twigs touching sky with

earth


A trunk topples down

millions of rootlets rip up

meeting us.


We witness a

sliver of mystery, the

buried secret of trees

now above

And that folks is why I have never had a poem published.


Although, I have a few stories about tree roots, perhaps I'll have to polish them up and record them ...
