People think that stories are shaped by people. In fact it's the other way around ...
-- Terry Pratchett
As an oral storyteller, I know there is magic in stories. When a story unfolds in spoken word, listeners embark on a journey together, discovering places no film or book can take them. They venture into the story's uncharted territory, into the land of imagination.
My three harps come out to play at a variety of concerts - from acoustic with my husband, David Harrisson, to playing for musicals or accompanying my stories.
Most of our concerts include a story or two. My stories are generally based on old Celtic or Norse Ballads, often accompanied by the original music in places.
I also have a large base of fairy tales inspired by various folk tunes.
