Welsh Tunes and Tales, A Customized workshop for a harp circle

The best part for me of the two Storytelling with the Harp classes I’ve taken with Rebecca Harrisson is her ability to encourage creativity. Whenever I was stuck on how to manage a part of the story, she would ask a few questions, make a suggestion or two and then seemingly sprinkle her pixie dust and my path would become clear. Words came out of my mouth that weren’t there before and ideas sprouted that I hadn’t considered. It was so exciting and I couldn’t wait to work on my story!

If you are thinking about taking a storytelling class or just want to take a fun and brain stimulating class, I highly recommend a class with Rebecca Harrisson. Besides being extremely kind, thoughtful, flexible and encouraging, she provides both verbal and written positive feedback to each participant as well as summary notes from each class. And she makes each class fun!

Re Harrison’s Harpstories class was a delightful experience.  Using melodies, rhythms, and spoken words all together really challenged me to get my creative juices flowing.  The interaction with other students in the class was most enjoyable.

I certainly would encourage others to give it a try.  It is a class which is pretty much adaptable to all different levels of ability of harp playing.
